In its 250th year, the Royal Academy's annual Summer Exhibition returns, with Grayson Perry RA at the helm to coordinate the world’s longest running and largest open-submission show. To mark the momentous occasion, the exhibition will also be co-ordinated by a Summer Exhibition Committee of Royal Academicians chaired by the President of the Royal Academy, Christopher Le Brun.
The Summer Exhibition provides emerging and established artists with a unique platform to showcase their work, with a plethora of works in all mediums on display - from print to painting, photography, sculpture, architecture and film. This year the show promises to be bigger, brighter and better than ever, with a panorama of art coming from a remarkable mixture of students, amateurs and household names. The two-month art extravaganza is a show unlike any other, and there will be more to see and explore than any other exhibition you’re likely to visit this year.
As in previous years, most works are for sale, giving you the opportunity to own original artworks by leading artists of today and tomorrow.
